NewsCertified Exchange offers three types of interview certification: Print, Radio, and TV.
Experts obtain these certifications either through a one-day class or one-on-one coaching.
In either format, NewsCertified Exchange works with experts so they feel comfortable doing
interviews while we assist them in developing their messages and unique perspectives.
Experienced journalists and educators have developed the certification standards and we have
asked journalists around the world to give us feedback. These standards include:
- Knowing how to give answers that will reach the audience
- Demonstrating the use of good examples
- Understanding the specific characteristics of a radio interview
- Showing good on-air presence for television
Our Web page will clearly show what certifications the expert has received. Not every expert will
receive all the certifications. To be certified for television, for example, means the expert has
been evaluated in 23 different areas. And, as we certify experts, we know journalists expect
NewsCertified to be discerning.
These certifications are a unique way to give experts confidence that they can communicate their
points of view during an interview. They also give the journalist confidence that the experts found on
our Web page understand the best ways to make a memorable contribution to the news making
process.
